Hideaway Island has held an annual festival & photography event since 2000.
Previous year's events have included a beachside theme party, unique off-the-beach watery events, plus snorkeling and swimming team and pairs events. It's a gathering you'll laugh about for months! The buzz of the Sea & Sea Underwater Photography Competition and its fantastic prizes (AUD$25,000 in 2002!) is contagious. A famous photopro shared their knowledge and expertise with entrants all week to help them make that winning shot. The tutorials covered composition, framing, film choice, cameras, housings and accessories.
