Relax on a picturesque tropical island beach and enjoy snorkeling or scuba diving in calm crystal clear water. Observe hundreds of tropical fish just metres from shore, explore extensive reef systems including a magnificent 80 metre wall covered with a multitude of colourful corals or meander along a marked snorkel trail in 2-4 metres and mail a postcard in our Underwater Post Office. If you are arriving by P& O Cruiseship you should check out the fantastic new tour available on board called the “Sun Xpress Harbour and Hideaway Island Tour.” This tour includes a harbour cruise on a sleek, modern vessel powered by four 350 hp engines followed by snorkeling at Pango Point and a snorkeling tour on the reefs surrounding Hideaway Island.

If you prefer to tour independently, it is an easy 15 minute taxi ride from the wharf to Mele Beach and a 4 minute ferry ride to the island. The ferry runs 24 hours a day on demand. An entrance fee of vt1000 is payable on the island. It is easy to catch a taxi or bus from Mele Beach back to Port Vila or the wharf.
